- So who am I? A wife, a mother, a blogger. This once Berkeley liberal grew up and realized how the world really works. Since 2002, I've been a committed and practicing Catholic who periodically fails but tries to do better. Experiencing the honor and the challenge of raising children while maintaining the traditions of our Church--all in the western suburbs of Chicago. Call me a compassionate conservative who is willing to listen to any well-formed opinion. Or, as my children prefer, just call me mommy. Come to think of it, every now and then, someone calls me Leigh. Or Lee. Maybe even Lee Angela. I answer to any and all of the above.
